Butterfly wallhanging..

The last project I'm creating this month is a butterfly wallhanging.. I first made a free hand drawing of a butterfly on a paper towel.. Got both the sides of the wings cut from G45 papers.. Made random shapes using the Tim Holtz craft knife on the wings.. Added a thin layer of glossy accent on the butterfly and stempunk embellishments on the butterflies body and wings.. Embellishments are inked using alcohol inks..

Stamped few areas of the background using script stamp.. :)

Multi purpose board..

Ok next for the month is a multi purpose board.. I got this cork board from the $ store.. Its close to12x12 in size.. I painted the corners with red acrylic paint.. Used the Time flies - stempunk debutante paper for this project.. I used a mask on top of the sheet.. Made free hand diagram of a cat and couple of fish..

I would never have the heart to pin something on the board so made provision to tuck in and hang tags or cards.. Made a little pocket on the cats belly!! The 6 small fish acts as a tag/card holder.. The big hooks on the cats mouth and the bigger fish are for hanging items..
I made this for my craft room so I made tags of different sizes.. Layered few of the tags.. Added a key chain and flower to the handle of the board..

All my favorite charms added on the fish..

I truly enjoyed every bit of making this project....

Altered Photo stand..

Got a plain wooden photo stand from the $ section in Micheals and wanted to created a gift out of it! I wanted to make it look manly yet have a girly feel to it.. Its more like a man-women photo stand.. :)

To start with, painted the wooden photo stand with brown acrylic paint.. Made the flowers using the tattered flowers die, embossed and inked them.. finally added glossy accent to get the effect it has.. Added the punches from "The proper gentleman" tag sheet to the center of the flower.. Added more tags to the bottom of the stand.. Embellished the stand with Tim Holtz key and clock which are inked with alcohol inks.. I added some jewellery to the lady.. :)

Bathing beauty Tag..

I love making tags.. I wanted to use the "Bathing beauty" sheet from "On the boardwalk" collection.. Made this huge tag with space for tucking in 2 photos. At the back of the tag made space for leaving a note.. Added a violet flower to the beautiful lady, metal flower on one of the photo mat and leaf on the other photo mat.. Behind the tag added a "WISH" charm and more metal flowers on the flap covering the note.. There is a small tag tucked behind the flap for note.. :)

Paper Jewellery!!

I planned to make some jewels with G45 papers. I made 2 earrings using 2 different techniques.. I also made a bracelet.. :)

For the first one, I used "On the boardwalk" paper with Tim Holtz butterfly die and embossed it using a sizzix embossing folder. Next, I did some inking on it.. Topped it with glossy accent.. The last step was to paint the hook with paint dabbers and attach them..

The next earring was using Stempunk paper with Tim Holtz heart die.. I used a mask and inked it, topped the end product with glossy accent.. Attached a copper hook to it..

Made the bracelet using tattered flowers and butterfly die.. Used the mask and copper paint dabber on it.. Added glossy accent as the last step before hooking it to the chain..

Beach Layout..

I made a layout today for my niece, the little princess of our house who lives in UK.. Miss you baby..
Made the flowers out of the Tim Holtz Tattered flowers die. Also used the Clock and Old jalopy die..  All the papers used are of G45..

Altered Jewel box..

I really enjoyed making this altered jewel box.. I used a 5.75 x 10.78" configuration box of Tim Holtz here.. Used a knob on to top which makes the opening easy.. Used the navy blue acrylic paint to cover the box and then different G45 papers helped me give this look to the plain looking box! I really enjoyed making the huge flower and leaves.

Added the huge lady figure behind the lid so that I can tuck in some quick notes or tags behind..

I didn't want to keep all the partition inside so made the spacing as per my requirement.

Recycled Lampshade..

Here is a altered/recycled lampshade.. I used the stempunk debutant papers for creating this.
I cut 8 8x4 size sheets, I used 4 sheets for each lampshade.. Punched 3 holes at equal interval on the corners and used twine for knotting the papers together. Ribbons where used to join the sheets to the top of lampshade. Strapped the ribbons together with velcro and topped it with G45 papers.. Added a butterfly charm between each of the sheets..

Lion King Land..

I just had this lidless box in my scrap (its about 15x5 in size) and wanted to make a shadow box out of it.. I love huge flowers seen on fairytale movies so tried to implement them into this shadow box.. I picked up the Zazu from walmart which went perfectly with the background.. I wanted to give a early morning effect to the shadow box, so added a raising sun on one side and on the other side made few bats which are flying off to rest :-)

Made a wild spider crawling out from the plant :)

Early morning is also shown with butterflies enjoying the nectar from the flowers..

I had used a tissue tape around the edges of the box..

It was fun making this project.. hope you like it too.. :)
